Finally!
Although this was certainly not our first exhibition, this was the first one where we collated work from bocs members.

We had a strong show, curated by bocs member Sevan Garo Nigogosian, that exemplifies the diversity of styles, talents and interests of some of bocs’ members:

We even had a couple of pieces produced by bocs members and of course, we also had our bocs boxes. This is the Super Secret Souvenir I mentioned earlier, over 100 miniature bocs boxes that have been customised by one of our members, our Christmas gift for you to take away.
Bedwyr Williams was kind enough to open the exhibition for us with an inspiring speech, whilst Ioan Thomas launched our bocs co-operative with a pop of the champagne cork.

Article in the Caernarfon and Denbighshire Herald on December 4, 2008 about bocs and the christmas bocs nadolig exhibition :

YOUNG artists received their perfect Christmas present this week.
For the latest exhibition at Oriel Dafydd Hardy, in Caernarfon, members of bocs, a co-operative of young local artists, drew up a wish list of art they would like to see on display.
The work ranges from artists they have studied alongside, lecturers who taught them, people whose work they have admired or even read about.
The collection opens on Saturday and will run until January 9.

Dyfrig Peris is a local born artist from Penygroes who studied Fine Art in Cheltenham University after completing his Art Foundation in Bangor, he has recently started a screen-printing company based in Nantlle and will be collaborating with local artists to create limited edition screen prints.
His work is influenced by Japanese animation and comic style storytelling and has done a series of drawings where imaginary landscapes are populated by amorphous characters. This is one of the reasons I selected him as my artist of choice, as my work involves creating complex landscapes dealing with perspective, space and depth, be it with ink on paper or with paint. Also I believe it to be beneficial to our group that we get as many local artists involved, as they’ll have extra desire and determination in making this a success.
Dyfrig Peris is Iestyn Owen’s choice for the christmas bocs nadolig exhibition.
